Small Town Called Al Rams

We arrived at around 4 in the morning. It was 13 degrees Celsius. Too chilly for me and too early for the fishermen to start their day. The small village is called Al Rams, in Ras Al-Khaimah. As we waited patiently, my friends and I  scouted the whole place, looking for a good location to take photos. I have never been a landscape photographer but the place was screaming long exposure shots, lol! Good thing I brought my tripod. I checked my phone to see what time the sun will rise, it says 7AM. Soon enough, the fishermen started to come around to the fishing area one after the other.

We were greeted with warm smiles and offered us to have some Karak chai. Even the local men who are inhabiting the place are friendly and welcoming. What I like about the place was everything that I don’t usually see in Dubai. The simplicity of their daily lives and the calmness of their village made me realized that life is short not to appreciate these basic things around us.

Slow down, breathe and start again.

Here are some of my captured moments in Al Rams. Hope you all have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Here’s to another year of photography 🙂
